Resources for families enrolled at ABC Early Learning Academy, the licensed daycare at 1700 Cedar Run Road in Ennis, TX, open 6 AM to 7 PM for children 6 weeks to 12 years. Find holiday closures, when to keep children home sick, payment reminders, and how we share updates with parents.

Documents & downloads
Ask the front office for the current Parent Handbook and enrollment packet.
Medication forms, allergy action plans, and pick-up authorization forms are inside the enrollment packet, or grab one at the front desk.
Holiday closures
We follow the Ennis ISD calendar for major holidays, and we stay open during most school breaks (fall, winter, spring, and summer). Closed on:
- New Year's Day
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Presidents' Day
- Good Friday & Easter Monday
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Indigenous Peoples' Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
Bad-weather closures follow Ennis ISD. Tuition for holidays and weather days is regular price. Closure alerts go out by text, email, phone, and Facebook.
When to keep kiddos home
- • Fever of 101°F or higher (return after 24 hours fever-free without medication)
- • Vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours
- • New or uncontrolled cough, or rash of unknown origin
- • Pink eye with drainage, or strep until 24 hours on antibiotics
If your child becomes sick at school, we'll call right away. Texas licensing requires pickup within 30 minutes, so keep a backup pickup person on your authorized list.
Everyday reminders
- • Tuition is due Monday for the discount rate; weekly or monthly, always in advance.
- • Sign in and out daily; photo ID required, and only people on your pick-up form can collect your child.
- • Label everything, and keep 3 extra clothing sets in the cubby.
- • We provide all meals and snacks; water bottles are welcome.
- • Schoolers: if your child won't ride, call the center as early as you can that day.
